Air Sector

The objectives in this sector are:

• Mutual understanding on the issues and regulatory tools for the air sector intensifies and deepens
• Favourable change in the capacity of the GoI to deal with air pollution, particularly with regard to international best practices.
• Input for policy framework enhancement delivered.
  

Expected results are:

• Enhanced knowledge and knowledge networks on management of air quality in India.
• Input for enhanced policies, legislation, regulations, and tools for air quality management in India provided.

Activities:

4.1 Seminar at national level to share best practices on Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control. Planned for November 2010-January 2011

4.2 Training of trainers and/or decision makers on monitoring of air quality at state level. Planned for November 2010-January 2011

4.3 Study Tour. Under consideration
